JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Position: Concession Stand Worker (FALL ONLY)

 

Reports to: Concession Stand Manager

 

Description: To assist the concession stand manager at the Louisville High School stadium 

 

NOTE: The below lists are not ranked in order of importance

 

Essential Functions:

  • To assist the concession stand manager in the preparation/serving/clean-up of each home varsity game including home playoff games.
  • To assist the concession stand manager that the stadium concession stand is ready for use the day of an event.
  • Knowledge of register system and banking deposits.
  • To assist the concession stand manager in maintaining weekly records, balancing weekly deposits and performing inventory reports.
  • Assist in the itemizing inventory of food on a weekly basis during the sports seasons that are held at the stadium. 
  • To assist the concession stand manager in balancing the drawer at the end of a game.
  • Enforce health department regulations and those directed by administrative and Board Policy.
  • Maintain orderly and clean work areas.
  • Prepare and serve food in an attractive manner.
  • Remains flexible to concession stand manager in schedule changes and emergencies.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Observe rules of cleanliness, dress and grooming.
  • Unlock and prepare concession stand for weekly routine.
  • Assist with all preparation for concession foods.
  • Assist in serving at the concession stand.
  • Assist in the clean-up of the concession stand.
  • Promotes safe practices concerning the concession stand in food preparation and handling and equipment usage.
  • Assist the concession stand manager in performing sanitation of the entire concession stand operation so as to avoid any possible harm to all concession stand customers. 
  • Serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as responsible citizens

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license
  • Serve Safe training or will complete
  • Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate

  • Ability to work effectively with others

  • Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
  • Effective active listening skills
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently 
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures
  • Ability to estimate the amount of food needed 
  • Perform basic computer skills as related to the position

 

Equipment Operated:

  • Working knowledge of concession stand equipment
  • iPads
  • Gas Grills

 

Additional Working Conditions:

  • Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue
  • Occasional requirement to travel, i.e., to pick up food or materials
  • Frequent requirement to stand, walk, talk, hear, see (color vision required), read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms
  • Frequent requirement to lift, carry, push, and pull up to a maximum of 50 pounds
  • Occasional requirement to push and pull up to a maximum of 300 pounds (on wheels)
  • Frequent excessive standing during assigned time
  • Frequent repetitive hand motions, e.g., operating cash register
  • Occasional requirement to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch
  • Complies with all Louisville Board of Education policies and procedures
